Moulding thermosetting composites requires the simultaneous control of three variables: the applied force, the closing speed and the mould temperature. The SMC or BMC charge is placed on the heated platen and compressed: the material flows into the cavity, cross-links and consolidates into a finished, thin-walled part with a high specific strength.
Durendus presses combine fine adjustment of the approach speed with pressure dwell and platen parallelism guaranteed by active levelling systems: the result is uniform thickness, constant density and the absence of porosity or surface defects, even over large areas.
Send us the material, part geometry and production cycle: we will configure the hydraulic press with heated platens tailored to your production.
